Russia has fired a missile on its decommissioned Kosmos 1408
From more than a decade, there are substantial evidences that Russia is regaining many of its Cold War-era counterpace capabilities. It the efforts has been mainly based on jamming in-orbit capability (with Lutch and Cosmos satellites fleet), and other co-orbital assets. But on 15th November 2021, the Russian military forces have proceeded with a direct-ascent fire with the Nudol system from Plesetsk, creating a substantial amount of Space debris. Read more...
